Dr. Nyoki Cosey-Brown is a licensed clinician, educator, and mental health leader with extensive experience supporting individuals and families through life transitions, stress, trauma, and emotional wellness. She brings a compassionate, culturally responsive, and evidence-based approach grounded in clinical expertise and real-world understanding.
She holds a doctoral degree and has worked across diverse clinical, academic, and community-based settings. Her practice integrates cognitive-behavioral, acceptance-based, and strengths-focused interventions to support emotional regulation, resilience, and personal growth.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Cosey-Brown serves as a Clinical Director supporting the expansion of technology-enhanced mental health services for children and families nationwide. She is also an author, educator, and speaker on mental health equity, advocacy, and innovation.
Dr. Cosey-Brown is committed to creating a safe, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic space, partnering with clients to achieve meaningful and sustainable change.

As a lifelong resident of Louisiana with strong family ties in the River Parishes, I have always been committed to helping my community. I began my education at the University of New Orleans where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the prestigious Tulane School of Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor as designated by the Louisiana Board of Social Work Examiners. I am a certified Triple P Positive Parenting Program Provider.I have over thirteen years of experience working in the social service field in areas of mental health, sexual abuse, domestic violence, geriatrics and case management. My practice settings have included hospitals, non-profits and community health centers. I believe in a Client-Centered approach to therapy and utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Mindful techniques. I take evidence-based approaches and present them in creative ways to keep clients engaged. As part of my generalist practice, I have extensive experience in Play Therapy with children and adolescents, treatment of Anxiety and Depression, end of life therapy, and treatment with survivors of abuse.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentialed by the states of Louisiana and Oregon. I have a master's degree in social work received from Southern University at New Orleans which has equipped me with the knowledge and expertise needed to address various social, emotional, and psychological challenges that people face. I have over 15 years of experience working in the social service field in areas of mental health, criminal justice, geriatrics, and case management. My passion lies in helping individuals and communities achieve improved well-being and emotional health. Throughout my career, I have focused on addressing a wide range of social, emotional, and psychological challenges that people encounter. I firmly believe in the critical role that mental health plays in enhancing overall quality of life, and I am committed to making a positive impact. My approach is centered around compassion and client-focused care. I create a safe and non-judgmental environment where my clients can openly discuss their concerns and collaborate with me on their path to positive change. Whether it's supporting individuals in managing mental health conditions, navigating life transitions, or building healthier relationships, I am dedicated to my profession and to the well-being of my clients.
